| TAMPER-PROOF VS TAMPER-RESISTANT SCREWS
Be aware, most security screws that advertise themselves as "tamperproof screws" are really tamper-resistant screws. The reason: most tamperproof security bits are easily accessible. Torx®, Torx-pin®, hex, Socket pin, drilled Spanners, Snake eyes®, Phillips®-pin, and Tri-wing® screws have thousands of security bit tips in circulation. With the onslaught of imported tamper-resistant bits, the security of these "tamper proof screws" is declining rapidly. They are tamper-resistant screws, not tamper-proof screws. As a result, Keyed-lok® (originally called UNIQZ®) was invented by a longtime tamperproof screw supplier to be a high security tamper proof screw. Keyed-lok® is a high security tamperproof screw, because it features an ever-changing socket or key way. Keyed-lok® has millions of key codes. Users are licensed a private keyed socket (like having their own private Phillips®) giving them exclusive access. Each keyed-lok® socket is tested to make sure other security bits wont fit. Importers and patent breakers are foiled. The end result is that customers receive high security tamperproof screws not tamper resistant screws. |
