TAMPER-PROOF VS TAMPER-RESISTANT SCREWS

Most security screws that advertise themselves as "tamperproof screws" are really tamper-resistant. Reason: the security bits for these screws are easily accessible. Torx®, Torx-pin®, hex, Socket –pin, drilled Spanners, Snake eyes®, Phillips®-pin, and Tri-wing® screws have thousands of security bit tips in circulation. With the onslaught of imported tamper-resistant bits, the security of these "tamper proof screws" is declining rapidly. They are tamper-resistant screws, not tamper-proof screws (see tamper proof myth).
